Lectures & Training

Advanced Practitioners’ Lecture Series – The Center sponsors twice-monthly lectures for educators & child mental health professionals where experts share current research and technique in the treatment of emotional, behavioral, and learning problems in children.

Clinical Internship Training Program – Ann Martin Center has one of the finest internship programs in Northern California for training in the specialty of psychodynamic therapy for youth and families.

In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Ann Martin Center sponsored an art contest with students in Oakland and Piedmont public schools. Children were asked to illustrate the following themes:

• Listening and learning

• Expressing feelings and expanding knowledge

• Balancing friends, family, learning, and play

• Curiosity and honesty

• Strengthening trust and communication in families

• Reflecting the treasure of diversity in our community

We have included in our website some of the drawings selected from this contest.

Our thanks to the Piedmont Post, the Academy of Art in San Francisco, and all the teachers and students who helped with the project.
