He’s making strange movements, is inattentive; you can’t read his handwriting, and his once stellar math grades are now plummeting. On top of that, Mom tells you that at home he’s become moody, unmanageable, and even starting to wet the bed again- at age 12! These are some of the symptoms that are commonly seen in a medical condition known as PANDAS. Dr. Candelaria-Greene provides an overview of this often unrecognized autoimmune disorder, and describes its impact on behavior, attention, and cognitive skills.  Attendees are then provided with specific recommendations for accommodations, compensatory strategies, and other supportive services.
