Hasse Leonard-Pagel, PhD, Director of Clinical Programs

Dr. Leonard-Pagel joined Ann Martin Center in March 2016. She returns 16 years later after being a former intern at AMC. She has a strong background in clinical management with prior administrative experience as a training director, outpatient program director, and executive director at (respectively) A Better Way, West Coast Children's Center, and the Psychological Services Center at Alliant International University. Dr. Leonard-Pagel has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to community-based mental health and children's services. She has recently co-published a book with her colleagues from West Coast Children's Center called Assessing Children in the Urban Community. This book highlights the benefits of providing therapeutic collaborative assessment to children & adolescents in the child welfare system.

Dr. Leonard-Pagel received her Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Hawaii - Manoa Campus. She received her doctorate degree from the California School of Professional Psychology - Alameda Campus. Dr. Leonard-Pagel's teaching and research interests continue to be in collaborative assessment, trauma-informed care with diverse communities, and closing the achievement gap.
